Biography

Chris Villemarette is a solo-practitioner having been in practice since 1994. Chris graduated from Marksville High School in 1987. Chris became licensed in Louisiana in 1994 and became licensed in Texas in 1995.

Chris has taken hundreds of cases to verdict in both jury trials and bench trials. Chris has argued cases before the Courts of Appeal for the State of Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeal for the 5th Circuit. Chris is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Texas State Bar Association and the Lafayette Parish Bar Association.

At the law office of Chris Villemarette, we attend to each case with the same detail and diligence regardless of the size of the case. I am the only attorney who will be representing my clients. I do not delegate the legal advocacy of my clients to other lawyers. When you hire me, you get me.

If you are looking for an attorney just to settle your case quickly without regard for anything else, then I am not your guy. I welcome a settlement, but under my client’s terms. My goal is to maximize your recovery. Often that requires turning down what the insurance company decides it will pay, and using my experience and skill to let the judge or the jury tell the insurance company what the award will be.
